Although we designed the program first and foremost for our own personal investment portfolios, we’ll try our best to be unbiased in our MRS Review. From the price to the exact modules and case studies, we’ll reveal all so you can decide if it’s worth the investment.
IMPORTANT: while we try to keep the figures mentioned in this article updated, they might not be the latest.
MRS Review: At A Glance
The Multibagger Research Series is a research platform that covers high quality businesses which can potentially grow their value at over 15%-25% p.a. over a decade or more. However, subscribers should never expect these returns to come overnight. If significant returns happen within weeks or months, they are the exception and not the expectation.
New businesses are added when the right opportunity arises (not merely for the sake of it). We focus on quality over quantity. It is far better to have 10 excellent companies in an investment portfolio compared to 100 average ones. It is far easier to monitor a smaller number of companies.
The MoneyWiseSmart team is personally vested in most of the businesses covered, and awaiting the right entry price for the rest. Our main income does not come from selling courses, but from the capital appreciation we enjoy from owning these businesses (along with other strategies we cover in our Options Series).
Modules in the Multibagger Research Series are constantly updated every quarter after earnings are released. These updates are delivered through live meetups, videos or well-organised PDFs. A private WhatsApp group is also available for subscribers to ask questions.
A minimum timeframe of 3 years is required for a chance to see results. This is typically when the share price of a business catches up with its intrinsic value (assuming the business fundamentals are constantly getting better).
The subscription to the Multibagger Research Series requires a one-time investment for lifetime access. This is meant for serious investors who are looking to gain access to knowledge that can help them significantly improve their portfolio returns. There is no other research platform that provides as extensive and in-depth lifetime coverage of so many high quality businesses (with several more to be added over the years), at our price point.
MRS Review: Curriculum
The Multibagger Research Series is an extensive collection of videos and PDF reports about high quality business in the MoneyWiseSmart portfolio. Each video dives deep into the fundamentals aspects of the business, looking under the bonnet to spot undervalued opportunities or hidden “value traps”.
As such, you don’t have to worry about independently consuming thousands of pages of past company documents (10K, 10Q etc), analyst reports, management interviews, earnings calls, ongoing updates etc. We do that for you and then present all the relevant facts in easy to consume format (videos and PDFs), so that you can go through them at your own pace and at your own convenience.
From time to time, we even speak with the management teams and other fund managers & analysts covering the same businesses and we update our research regularly with any new insights we might acquire.
The Multibagger Research Series can be a very good one stop destination for keeping track of everything that is happening in these businesses. You will have access to all the videos and documents which are logically arranged in different modules.
There can be eight modules’ worth of coverage for one company alone (each containing several sub-modules).

We are very choosy about the businesses we cover, and we research every aspect of these great businesses using our research framework. These businesses typically have the following characteristics:
They generate high ‘Return On Capital’
They are run by very high quality CEO & management teams. We have a preference for founder led businesses… and CEOs with great capital allocation track record
These businesses enjoy secular growth tail-winds, operate in very large markets (preferably global) and have very long runways ahead of them
These businesses have strong competitive advantages and have the ability to protect their turf from competitive pressures. This gets reflected in their margins.
These businesses are typically asset and capital light and have exponential characteristics, with the ability to compound wealth over a long period.
MRS Review: Valuation Sheet
As an added bonus for subscribers, a summary valuation sheet is also provided. While this is NOT meant as a stock recommendation or advice, the summary valuation provides a simple way for investors to understand if the business is looking expensive or cheap.
Our calculation of a business’ intrinsic value range is also provided, along with the method by which the range is derived. The intrinsic value calculation can vary based on some assumptions we make, hence it is never a precise number (but more of a range). We demonstrate to our subscribers how they can come up with their own simple ways of arriving at their own intrinsic value range.
This is not meant to replace an investor’s decision making process, but only to supplement it with reliable information.

MRS Review: Depth Of Analysis
While other education providers only share research that can be easily found online, the Multibagger Research Series produces original analysis by diving into the annual reports (including the footnotes) and going through the details.
Additionally, we cross reference annual reports that were released over the years. This allows us to determine if a company’s management can execute the strategy it has laid out. In doing so, we are able to “read between the lines” to uncover a business’ real opportunity.

MRS Review: Track Record

Over a 4.5-year period, this is how the MRS portfolio has performed. As of the time of writing in June 2023, the portfolio has delivered more than 100% growth since 2018. This is not a single snapshot of a quick win, but rather a transparent look at how the portfolio has performed over time.

MRS Review: Drawbacks
However, the MRS is not for everyone. It does not discuss technical analysis or charts. There is also minimal coverage of macroeconomic factors. The focus is heavily on the analysis of businesses and their valuations.
As such, you’ll never find a chart like the one below inside the Multibagger Research Series:

At the same time, the Multibagger Research Series is priced at $2,399. This makes it more suitable for investors who have at least a five figure portfolio. Otherwise, a greater portion of funds will be spent on education instead of actual investments.
Given the in-depth research on high quality businesses that is continuously updated, the value of the course far exceeds its price for the right kind of investor.

All factors considered, the Multibagger Research Series is a great educational resource for investors who want in-depth research on high quality businesses. The summary sheet, meetup sessions and WhatsApp group are great ways for investors to clarify their knowledge.
However, technical charts and macroeconomic data are not covered, making this a course primarily suited for value investors focused on the long-term.
